Breitbart Truth: Race, Genetics & IQ

President-Elect Trump has appointed his campaign CEO and former Breitbart.com CEO, Steve Bannon, to the White House role of "Senior Adviser / Chief Strategist."

Opponents of the appointment claim Bannon is a 'white nationalist', including former Breitbart editor-at-large Ben Shapiro.

I've looked into the claim that Bannon is a white nationalist by digging through his website's work. My conclusion so far: Bannon/Breitbart are very careful not to directly say anything that would sound like a white supremacist quote.

Instead, what Breitbart has done under Bannon's command is repeatedly link and reference people like John Derbyshire, Richard Lynn, Jason Richwine, Charles Murray, Steve Sailer, Richard Spencer and Jared Taylor. These people all believe that most Latinos, blacks, Indians, Filipinos, and other groups are genetically inferior to whites in intelligence. Breitbart has continually mentioned these people in a positive manner.

John Derbyshire:

"The mean intelligence of blacks is much lower than for whites. The least intelligent ten percent of whites have IQs below 81; forty percent of blacks have IQs that low. Only one black in six is more intelligent than the average white; five whites out of six are more intelligent than the average black.

In that pool of forty million blacks, there are nonetheless many intelligent and well-socialized blacks. You should consciously seek opportunities to make friends with them. In addition to the ordinary pleasures of friendship, you will gain an amulet against potentially career-destroying accusations of prejudice.

(10e) If you are at some public event at which the number of blacks suddenly swells, leave as quickly as possible."

Richard Lynn:

Here is Breitbart talking about how women are IQ inferior to men, and it cites a website called IQComparisonSite. One of the primary sources of that website is Richard Lynn, who has repeatedly suggested blacks are less intelligent than whites on a genetic level, even going so far as to say that lighter skinned blacks (due to their European blood) are more intelligent than darker skinned blacks.

His book on race and intelligence is regularly featured at the National Policy Institute's book fair, a white nationalist group led by Richard Spencer.

Jason Richwine:

Richwine was hired by one of the top right-wing think tanks in the country, the Heritage Foundation, a few years ago. Soon a Washington Post writer found Richwine's paper suggesting that Latinos have significantly less IQ than whites, and that this persists even among US-born Latinos who have been in the country for generations. So he suggested the US government should consider limiting Latino immigration and possibly do IQ tests on Latinos before they are admitted into the country. After WaPo posted about this, Heritage Foundation fired Richwine.

Note that this is well after Richwine's famous firing at Heritage. It would be nearly impossible for Bannon not to know of Richwine's controversy, so there's no way Bannon can be unaware of what Richwine said about Latino IQ and immigration.

Charles Murray:

And here is Breitbart talking positively about Charles Murray, who suggests that whites have significantly higher IQs than blacks and Latinos on a genetic level. Note that on the Jewish-focused Commentary magazine (link below), Murray believes that God likely gave Jews higher IQs than everyone else in the world and that is proof of a divine connection between Jews and God.

Sailer runs the website VDARE.com, named after the first white girl born in the US. He was fired from the top right-wing journal in the nation, The National Review, when he mocked people in interracial relationships.

In one article, he argues that white men who marry Mexican women instead of white women are "downwardly mobile."
